The wines of the young Sicilian company have been selected for the “Gala Italia”, showcase of the best Italian wine production, organized by the Italian Wine & Food Institute in New York.
The event will take place in the refined Ballroom of the Pierre Hotel in Manhattan on February 20.
From the Gulf of Castellammare, in western Sicily to the skyscrapers of Manhattan with its own oenological excellence: this is the great leap of the young Sicilian winery, Terre di Bruca.
On February 20, in fact, it will participate in the “Gala Italia”, together with the most famous Italian wineries, exclusive stage of the best Italian wine production, organized by the Italian Wine & Food Institute in New York, under the patronage of the Italian Embassy in USA.
The Sicilian company will be present with four references: the Nozze di Cana, a Chardonnay Igt Sicilia; Chimirici, a white Moscato and dried Zibibbo; Petra di Bruca, a sparkling Chardonnay and Quaranta, a superb pure Nero d’Avola. The latter wine on the occasion of the Gala Italy, will be awarded the best product of the company by the Consul General Minister Natalia Quintavalle.
The Gala Italia annually, for more than a quarter of a century, has been promoting the best of Italian excellence in wine, food and gastronomy in the USA. The main element of the event will be the great Wine & Food Tasting, with over 500 qualified and selected operators, restaurateurs and journalists from the states of the Atlantic coast of the USA who have been participating for years in what constitutes the most important Italian wine event in the USA.
For the Terre di Bruca company, participation in the American event represents an important milestone and at the same time an acknowledgment for the work done in the production of quality wines. The company, founded in 2009, covers approximately 63 hectares of property, 43 of which are cultivated with vineyards in the Bruca area, a hilly area suitable for viticulture, so much so that it was chosen in the past centuries by the Greeks for the production of fine wines. Another 60 hectares of vineyards are cultivated in three different company sites located in the territory of Castellammare del Golfo, on the slopes of Monte Inici.
